Paige is a ceramicist and freelance illustrator/surface designer living in Wellington, New Zealand. She studied textile design at Massey University, but since completing university found her true passion - working with clay.
"Working with clay is such a therapeutic process - getting my hands dirty kneading the clay, coaxing it into shape, smoothing out the surface, and then the calming act of repeating shape and line to create surface pattern."
"The act of preparing a meal for friends and family is another therapeutic process for me, and one that influences my ceramic work. It is my aim to create ceramics that are beautiful and interesting as well as functional. Ceramics that add to and compliment the dialogue between person and meal. Ceramics that have been created in the same way as a home-cooked meal - by hand, and with patience, care and thought."
