Latham Gaines

Latham Gaines is an accomplished actor, artist and inventor. 

Auckland based self taught for more than 30 years and Molly Morpeth art winner Latham Gaines paints the everyday and the never thought about objects.

Latham's process works on translucence glass giving him a truly neutral starting place. Letting light and imagery come through slowly as he build up paint, and then strips it back as imagery becomes more clear. Fleeting images, light, reflectivity and the unnoticed all inspire Latham Art.
