Collection: Take Shape

We are delighted to invite you to the first of our 2024 exhibitions, Take Shape by Cam Munroe, Sheree Willman, and Pip Woods. The three artists hail from the Pōneke, Wellington region. While each has a distinctly different style, they are similar in their use of line and form to create shapes.

Kapiti-based artist Cam says, "In this series, I am embracing the unexpected in more open compositions. I'm finding meaning in chaos and enjoying the journey that emerges from each canvas."

The muse behind Sheree's painted works is her culture and the weavers of her tīpuna (ancestors), who help her reconnect and discover more about te ao Māori and her personal identity.

Ceramicist Pip describes her creamy vessels as "Bringing the natural world in, bringing soft light to dark places".
