Tim Christie

Tim Christie is a Wellington-based Designer & Artist. He has developed some of New Zealand's most iconic brands including identities for The Interislander, Radio New Zealand, & New Zealand Wine. His work has featured prominently in New Zealand & Australian design awards & published internationally.

In 2017, Tim released a collection of digitally generated visual art. This initial body of work emerged from a series of explorations where he examined the intersection between geometric design & anatomical forms. In particular, he enjoyed playing with the curious space or 'void' between abstract & representational art.

Starting with limited edition digital prints his collection now includes original paintings, lightboxes, & weavings. Tim's work captures a wide audience & he has experienced rapid success in New Zealand & abroad, where he won an award with the UK's largest Fine Art Group.  His unique style has been described as a modern synthesis of  Op Art, Pop Art,  Street Art, Geometric Expressionism, & De Stijl.

Tim has shown in several international destinations. His pieces now adorn the walls of collectors from Australasia, North America, Asia, & Europe.
